Dereham Road House is a two-storey, semi-detached property in London - Barking Area. The proposed approach for this dwelling is to renovate throughout with a wrap-around extension type, part double storey.
In doing so, the property can open up by making a front extension to the site of the property and the entrance, where the first-floor site extension will create a new master bedroom with a walking wardrobe and en suite. The rear ground floor extension is for a new kitchen and chill-out area.
The new extension of the property is where the project allowed me to use my knowledge of working within context. These newly built sections of the house add needed space to create an extra living space with fluid circulations and interconnected space. The existing small narrow kitchen has been replaced with utility space. A new light-filled kitchen is located in the new rear part of the extension, which will become the core of family life.
Volumetrically, the extension to the ground and first floor are two distinct volumes. The volumes are distinctive, although taking reference from the original building.

The construction phase is to commence soon.
