Hepworth Gardens is a two-storey, semi-detached property that has been extended and renovated trough to allow more space for a modern way of living. 
In doing so, the property was able to open up by making a front extension to the small size living room and entrance hall, which characterizes so many of the houses built in this period. 
The new extension of the property is where the project allowed me to use my knowledge of working within context. These newly built sections of the house fill the width to create an extra living space with fluid circulations and interconnected space. The existing narrow kitchen has been replaced with a new, light-filled kitchen and dining area, which has become the core of family life.

Volumetrically, the extension to the ground and first floor are two distinct volumes. The volumes are distinctive, although taking reference from the original building.
